Player Release Request Form & Approval Process
To establish a formal and structured process for Player Release Requests, all players seeking release must submit a request using the official NGFFL Player Release Request Form through our Tournament HQ Player Waiver Wizard.
Before completing the form, please review the process, deadline, and policy below.
PLAYER WAIVER/RELEASE PROCESS
Players sign into TOURNAMENT HQ then select “Player waiver/release request” in the left navigation…
Choose which Event the release applies to, then press the “Next” button.
Enter or verify your Profile contact information, then press the “Next” button.
Enter or confirm your current Address, then press the “Next” button.
Complete the Transfer details, confirm them, then press the “Next” button.
Select the destination Team, then press the “Next” button.
Select the Eligibility rule that applies and add any additional details if necessary, then press the “Next” button.
Indicate prior contact and additional contact, then review the summary, then press the “Submit Request” button.
After submission, the player can track their request status in the My Waivers dashboard.
NGFFL REVIEWS REQUEST.
If the request does not meet the eligibility criteria, the request will be denied, and the player will be notified.
If the request meets the eligibility criteria, the NGFFL will initially approve it and send a secure email to the releasing city leader on file for review.
Releasing city leadership REVIEWS REQUEST.
The releasing city leadership will review the request and make a final determination on the player’s release.
Once they determine whether the request is approved or denied, they will notify the NGFFL.
NGFFL NOTIFIES PLAYER OF FINAL DECISION.

PLAYER WAIVER/RELEASE DEADLINE
All Player Release Requests must be received no later than three (3) weeks prior to the Gay Bowl tournament.
Requests submitted after this deadline will not be considered unless extenuating circumstances are presented and approved by the NGFFL Board.
REGISTRATION POLICY
Players should NOT register for the tournament prior to submitting a Player Release Request and receiving approval.
If a player registers before receiving approval and their request is denied, the player will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
