In 2015, San Diego hosted Gay Bowl XV at the San Diego Polo Grounds in Del Mar. Today, those grounds have been renovated and transformed into Surf Sports Park. In addition to providing up to 25 regulation fields, Surf Sports Park has vast areas of grass for teams to warm up before their games. 🏈
Located 20 miles from the host hotel, our free shuttle buses for Town & Country Gay Bowl guests will save teams from having to rent vehicles, costly ride sharing trips, or paying the daily parking fees at the fields themselves. The game schedule will also ensure the final games of the day end at least 30 minutes before sunset. 🌅
WHY YOU CHOSE US
Members of the San Diego Gay Bowl Host Committee travelled to Seattle in October of 2023 to present this video and a 10-minute presentation to leaders from every NGFFL city. It was our task to convince all of you why San Diego should be the host of Gay Bowl XXV in 2025.
The San Diego American Flag Football League (SDAFFL) was founded in 2004 and is home to the eight-time Gay Bowl champion San Diego Bolts. Our city has hosted this tournament in 2005 and 2015, and will do so again in 2025!
